Contemporary Shadow Theatre makes specific demands on performers in terms of movement. This workshop covers an introduction to the skills performers need to explore the more advanced aspects of the technique and go beyond them.

The Embodied Voice
An intensive workshop, the aim of which is to explore the quality of physical movement demanded by the contemporary shadow theatre form. The primary entry point is through techniques developed through intensive voice work of embodying thought in breath, expressing them through movement, through voice. While the workshop is specifically geared towards the demands of contemporary shadow theatre, participants will be able to use the techniques in other forms of theatre as well as many other situations in which communicating at a heightened level is required.
