Leon Conrad
Founder and Director
Leon Conrad trained as a musician, and works as a storyteller, performance poet and voice and presentation skills trainer. Leon Conrad came across shadow theatre by accident when working on a retelling of stories from The Arabian Nights which was premiered in August 2009 as 'Under The Arabian Moon'. He was inspired to go off and study contemporary shadow theatre techniques with Norbert Götz, one of the leading practitioners of contemporary shadow theatre in Germany. Leon founded ShadowStage Productions in 2009. He works in the field because he is in love with the potential of the medium. It is one of the many things that feeds his soul.
Grace Bird
Animation Artist
Grace did a foundation course in Visual Commuincations at Wimbledon College of Art in 2008 and went on to get a BA degree in Animation from Southampton Solent University. She has contributed her storyboard and animation skills to the intensive planning stage which has taken place as part of the If Ever... project.
Christopher Chilton
Writer-in-Residence
Christopher is a talented young writer whose interests bridge fantasy, sci fi and classic narrative genres. He is particularly interested in writing for the shadow theatre medium, seeking to bring out a way of writing that allows words to merge with shadows, and meaning to be revealed in their light.
Natasha Barhedia
Shadow Theatre Practitioner
Natasha is an experienced actress, mime and clown artist who hails from Mexico. She worked intensively with ShadowStage Productions between May 2011 and September 2011, taking leading parts in ShadowStage Productions' entry for the RSA/Nominet Trust 2011 competition and in Hang Ups.
Charles-Antoine Hennegrave, ACE
Moving Image Specialist
Charles-Antoine is an experienced post-production and digital image manipulation guru whose talents contributed greatly to ShadowStage Productions' entry for the RSA/Nominet Trust 2011 competition and to Hang Ups.
Todd Hendricks
Composer and Sound Artist

Nadia Malik
Scenic Costume Designer
Nadia is an experienced costume and textile designer. She enjoys working collaboratively with dancers, performance artists and in theatre and has worked in professional clothing design. Gurdesh Sidhu
Lighting Technician
Gurdesh is a talented designer who combines work on a Product Design degree at South Bank University with designing practical lighting, scenic and other solutions for ShadowStage Productions.
Lorraine Smith
Shadow Theatre Practitioner
Lorraine trained in contemporary dance techniques and is artistic director, choreographer and producer of Silversmith Dance Theatre. She worked as Dramaturg with ShadowStage on Hang Ups between March and September 2011.
Andre Stefano
Photographer
Andre has been Leon's photographer of choice since 2009. A talented Brazilian artist, with a considerable portfolio of exhibition and professional work, he has been an avid and dedicated supporter of ShadowStage Productions' work since its foundation in 2009, meeting the challenges of shooting in low light levels with professional aplomb to produce stunning visual results. Eley Williams is an award-winning writer who is interested in writing for the shadow theatre medium who has been working with ShadowStage since March 2011. The ShadowStage production of Hang Ups is based on her work of the same name.
